RE:Tukar Engine   Nasib baik I tak jadi beli Naza. Very murah second hand, baru 3 tahun dah 50% discount. So mesti ada problem kan. Very expensive to change NAZA engine or do overhaule. Very Bad

RE:Tukar Engine   Nazaria, this issue was so sensitive, actually not all unit will face this problem of these engine design and it was catostropic. But as we investigate further , the problem varies from 1st model to 2nd one. 1st model (carnival one 1997-1999) was normally head gasket issue . 2nd model was wih improve MLS (multi layer steel) gasket that have been proven good bt the issue of moving cylinder liner thamt make coolant to mix with the engine oil. Since naza take this model from carival II , we carry the same problem. Many reason have been given and improvement have been promised to improve it but still no zero tolerance to this engine. Our GV6 (nazaria) was based on design in KV6 engine that was produced by Power Train Ltd a subsidary of MG-rover engine, our unit is built by kia as they purchase the design in 1994. First introduced into the Rover 800 series with the 1996 facelift, including the flagship Rover Sterling Coupe and Rover Sterling models, it has since also powered the Rover 75 and its brother, the MG ZT, as well as the Rover 45 and the MG ZS. . In 1994 the engine was licenced to Kia Motors who invested in a new plant at the Assan Bay complex to build the engine. This engine was used in several KIA vehicles. Its introduction in Korea shortly followed its use by Rover in the Sterling. Our engine is all aluminium blck and head. Cylinder liner is cast iron alloy .The liner is seal to the aluminium block with sealant at the liner seat normally is loctite sealant. What is normally the problem with these design. 1. Design issues with the liner and block (hard to seal both ,as aluminium and cast iron have different thermal stress).Aluminum save weight but expand 1.7 times faster than cast iron when they get hot. The difference in expansion rates creates a lot of force. If the sealant can’t handle this motion and isn’t strong enough to withstand the shearing forces that occur every time the engine is started, run and allowed to cool back down, it will eventually move the liner and leak the engine. That is why critical point of cooling sytem and lubricant play major important role maintaining these engine.Let see the sealant on the liner seat. http://farm1.static.flickr.com/167/428927832_8d18027c9f_b.jpg The sealant just can be on the liner seat only.That little amount if shear , there goes your engine. 2. Installation errors ( block not clean, smooth or flat, wrong surface finish, using a sealer on a surface that does not require a sealer, etc.). This mean quality and how you fixed the liner. In certain batch nazaria that facing early engine leak (less than 20,000km), we found out that cerain liner even dont have sealant. Quality of production was very low.Thus early failure is happen. 3.Operating conditions that overstress the engine can cause it to fail (preignition, detonation and overheating).Wrong ignition timing,improper fuel burning or over burning (bomb) and cooling sytem problem/malfunction (leak hose, not enough coolant, thermostat not working to circulate, block radiator, air lock inside water jacket). All this give added value to damage the engine. in certain country , the even found out that auto trans models are more prone to this problem compare to manual trans model. Thus in auto we will strech the engine before gear changes. This engine is powerful but need soft touch as your wife.That explain important of ih right foot on throttle. Let the gear change , don't push the engine. Short block replacement is still the choice , overhaul might do but succes rate is low as difficuty to install the liner.Expert in Kia engine says taht short block , head gasket and thermostat need to change.Currently , car under warranty will get it FOC. Car over warranty with ful service record in KIA or Naza is given fullfillment. Car over warranty but not service in Naza/Kia after warranty period still can appeal. That's what I'm doing now is getting all fact up for the first tribunal pegguna On Naza Regarding Short Block Warranty Claim rejection. Solution, if naza and kia with thousand of engineering brain cannot think, I myself still in learning phase to phase .May be they are working as a joker in the company. Never think how to solve and engineered it to the best performance. They are just money maker. They are rich and printing the money. They are good copier.Just print what ever they can , touch up abit. as mention earlier this problem can be solve as early as 12 year ago. Maybe, That is why , country with high consumer protection right wil not have this 2.5V6 Quadcam variant.The 2.9CRDi and 3.5V6 cast iron block engine might better. What medicine is the best...........................will update later if I can Find one. I'm only a legal drug dealer.[:)][:)][:)] Will 2nd short block face the same thing. Same engine , it wil face the risk but this time around the mechanic who install it is the critical point . I see them measure , reseal, cleaning the new short block before installing . That is why the quality is there. that mean personal hand job is better than mass production.too mass the quality goes. the best part of these engine is.............it was also use in Gibbs Aquada, the car that james bond drive in the film The Spy Who Loves Me . RE:Tukar Engine   is there a way we could prevent it from happen? or just wait for it to happen? since a lot of Carnival or Ria happen, should this be manufacturing defect or design defect?

RE:Tukar Engine   setakat ni ada orang tukar enjin carnival ke 6A13TT, Mitsubishi legnum 2.5 V6 Twin Turbo , abang hafiz kat hentian kajang II . try call dia nak tengok setup : 0126674983. Dengan enjin ni memang tak de tolerance langsung , improvement tak cukup spec lagi , carnival I selalunya headgasket problem , carnival II cylinder liner.
